Congratulations to Ms. Jacqueline Hamilton, the character education teacher at James Matthews Elementary!  Ms. Hamilton was awarded for her outstanding work with (PBIS) Positive Behavior Intervention and Support and received a certificate for a free car detail at Scallions car wash.  Positive behavior interventions and support is a behavior management system used to understand what maintains an individual's challenging behavior and tools to correct it. PBIS is an approach Dollarway is using to improve school safety and promote positive behavior. At its heart, PBIS calls on schools to teach kids about behavior, just as they would teach about any other subject—like reading or math. Pictured with Ms. Hamilton (middle) are (L) Principal L. Williams and (R) PBIS Specialist Mr. A. Roshell, III
