Superintendent of Dollarway School District, Barbara Warren (pictured right) served as one of the grand marshals for the 37th annual Original KingFest™ Parade on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020.  Pictured alongside Mrs. Warren are Bianca Warren (daughter) and Rev. Larry C. Battles (pictured left) of Paradise Funeral Home, who provided the limousine that they rode in during the parade. The Original KingFest™ Parade/March (marade) honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Several cheerleaders from RMMS & DHS (pictured) were also present and marched in the parade. Other superintendents that also served as grand marshalls were, Jerry Guess of Watson Chapel School District and Jeremy Owoh of Pine Bluff School District, according to a news release from Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration (PBICVR) Inc.

Prior to the parade beginning, a short educational program and trophy ceremony honoring high school bands was held inside the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Dollarway appreciates Paradise Funeral Home and all the students, family and community that came out to support this great occasion of honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. #IAMDOLLARWAY #ENGAGEMENTMATTERSAR #MLKDAY2020
